# Shopper Identity Protection

Shopper Identity Protection lets customers know they're protected with $100,000 insurance coverage in the event of identity theft. By offering your customers this complimentary protection with purchase, you can convert more visitors and protect your customers.

### Website Requirements

Sites can offer Shopper Identity Protection by:

* Installing the [conversion tracking code](/docs/installation/conversion-tracking.md)
* Enabling an opt-in method: modal, slide up, or automatic
* Having a purchase detected in the last 7 days

### End-User Requirements

To be eligible for Shopper Identity Protection coverage, an end-user must meet the following requirements:

* Make a qualifying purchase from a site that offers TrustedSite’s Shopper Identity Protection.
* Activate coverage/
* Experience a [covered identity theft event](https://www.trustedsite.com/identity-protection/benefits).
* Reside in the United States, its territories and possessions, Puerto Rico or Canada, excluding MN, TX & NY.

Every time a customer makes a qualifying purchase you will receive 90 days of coverage from the date of the most recent purchase. Coverage is not cumulative and can’t be banked with multiple purchases.
